Who We Are?
Our Mission
A venture of Dhenu Sewa Sansthan. We are committed to the cause of spreading awareness about the authentic path of Vasudaiv Kutumbkum & Goumev Vaste Lakshmi. We are actively engaged in a host of charitable activities including
- Free distribution of food at multiple places to deprived and underprivileged creatures of the creator,
- Saving wildlife and looking after injured animals,
- Feed and serve mother cow,
- Feed and save dogs,
- Befriend a bird and all other needy creatures,
- Generating employment,
- Imparting training to youngsters for livelihood promotion based on GOUSHALA’s by-products,
- Spreading awareness about environmental issues
All this is done solely from the volunteers’ and well-wishers’ contributions.
Our Principles
- Building and maintaining a connection of empathy, dignity, and values between the issues of the haves and have not’s.
- Leveraging and empowering already available resources, wisdom, time, skills, and efforts of people.
- Equipping end users to thrive and evolve sustainably.
- Listening deeply to our rural communities with humility, and treating people with dignity and respect.
- Being responsive. We are constantly learning contexts and deepening relationships between humans & Mother Nature.
- Rooting ideas in the community. Our on-ground strategies are built from the context, cultures, knowledge, wisdom, resources, needs, and aspirations of the rural communities we work with.
- We are committed to fair, unbiased professional accountability and transparency with soul development.
Our Focus
- We put women and girls in the center because we know that we cannot overcome poverty until all people have equal rights and opportunities.
- We try to make society a place without hunger. Where people live together in harmony.
- We work on animal and environment protection with a firm belief that it is not charity work; it’s a social responsibility.
- We work on the human rights of challenged people suffering from poverty, disasters, and oppression, and help them to achieve self-reliance and enable them to rebuild their hope.
- In the race of development our focus is on the needy and deprived people of our society. We are creating a system that is not cash-based, where every work doesn’t have to wait for money; instead, a huge number of volunteers are turning into a catalyst for social change.
Our Values
- To work in any place where there is a need, regardless of race, religion& ideology.
- To recognize and value the potential of local resources and the traditional wisdom of people.
- To focus on the receiver’s dignity instead of the donor’s pride.
- To promote self-reliance and the sustainable development of individuals, families, and communities.
- To view every entity as an equal stakeholder in the process of development rather than observing hierarchical relationships.
Our Strategy
- To collaborate with partner organizations to increase effectiveness and scale.
- Provision of quality education for underprivileged children.
- Community engagement to address cultural barriers to education for girls.
- Effective advocacy for girl’s education as DHENU SEWA considers women as the real catalyst for lasting positive change.
- Empowerment of women through training programs so that they can support their daughter’s access to education.
- Advocacy against child labor.
- In a holistic way DHENU’s strategy is “to build a momentum for social, educational, economic, spiritual and environmental justice, driven by people living in poverty and exclusion.
