Research on Panchgavya

Research on panchagavya is a major initiative of Dhenu Sewa. The research is not limited but covers some topics like:

  • Preparation of panchgavya and cow urine-based medicines, and their mindful trials to judge their efficacy in the treatment of humans & diseases.
  • Preparation of cow dung and urine-based fertilizers and pesticides for agriculture and carrying out trials to judge their efficacy and use.
  • Work on efficient use of biogas.
  • Develop new techniques to enhance the use of cow dung and urine-based products.

Extension Activities for Dhenu Sewa

  • Promote and market panchgavya and other cow dung and urine-based products in society.
  • Encourage local farmers to adopt cow-based farming.
  • Create awareness about the welfare of cows, and the use of cow dung and urine-based products, by various means like street plays, distribution of leaflets, and posters, organizing seminars and training, and setting up stalls with the respective herbal products with awareness posters in local haats, cattle fairs, farmers’ fairs or religious fairs.
  • Impart training, for the preparation of various cow dung and urine-based products, for the local, unemployed youth, women, and local farmers.
  • Promote conservation of native and regional Indian germ plasma of cows in the respective gaushala, with the purpose of the conservation of nature and biodiversity (as different regional breeds are an integral part of our nature and biodiversity; not for the purpose of promotion of milk).
