Creation like anything else that is orderly rests on certain fundamental laws which cannot be broken, the ‘Law of Karma’ being the foremost. Even the gods are bound by this law and no one is above it. If you look around, you will find a lot of hungry people on the road, birds and stray animals like dogs dying in accidents, unattended and unfed. Cows and bulls, which were once worshiped by Vedic, Egyptian, and Zoroastrian civilizations, are now tortured to death. If a modern man ignores all of the above and continues to torture and kill these helpless animals, then the Law of Karma would definitely get him. So it’s time we get into action and help these helpless animals that need our help. Service and Charity is the cornerstone of DHENU SEWA. Animal Welfare forms an integral part of the many initiatives we have undertaken to help aid creation. The volunteers rescue, rehabilitate and take care of any animal in need, and have started dedicated programs for cows, dogs, monkeys, and birds.
What You Get
In India, the cow is worshiped and considered a sacred symbol of life that should be protected and revered. In the Hindu religion (33 koti) all the gods are believed to reside in the body of the mother cow. Her four legs are the scriptural Vedas; her horns are the triune gods Brahma (tip), Vishnu (middle), and Shiva(base); her eyes are the sun and moon, her shoulders the fire god -Agni and the wind god Vaayu and her legs the Himalayas. Mother cow is the favorite of lord shiv, it is said that whatever one whispers in the ears of a bull is heard by lord shiv, and service to the cow is given the highest place in the Vedas.

Dhenu Sewa Samwardhan Awareness Camp
In the service of the mother cow, it takes just a few small acts on our side to take care of the mother cow. There are several programs hosted by us to make people aware of the various ways to take care of stranded cows and other animals and birds. Marked days, like earth day, environment day, Gopashtami, Janmashtami, animal welfare week, etc, are especially important to the organization and the cause, where birds and animals play a major role in maintaining the balance of nature whilst being an integral part of it. At various platforms, awareness is passionately imparted on how easy steps like making haudi-small water tank at a convenient point of your house to help thirsty animals to quench their thirst and putting out bowls of water outside homes, on balconies and terraces, for birds to quench their thirst, especially during hot summer days, are some of the actions that go a long way. Waste management is also advocated by community members who are urged to keep the fruit and vegetable peels separate, which can be directly fed to the cows.
